With all classes, you need to have your own sewing machine and a basic sewing kit with scissors, pins, tape measure, etc. If you don't have a sewing machine we sell both Brother and Bernina sewing machines with basic, good quality machines starting from as little as $189.00; We also stock any other accessories you may need along with a range of patterns, threads and haberdashery items as well as 100% cotton fabrics, primarily used for patchwork.

Want to learn to sew? From simple mending to alterations, Dressmaking or Patchwork and Quilting, we cover it all. Come along, you'll make new friends, have a laugh and sew lots. You can work on our simple projects or bring along your own items or projects to sew. Small class sizes guaranteed, maximum 6 people.

Starting with simple projects your child will learn all basic sewing techniques for dressmaking. Beginning with a basic quilt they will progress to garment construction and more advanced sewing techniques.

Learn how to use your embroidery machine correctly, through working on simple projects each month. You will learn correct placement , how to stabilize your fabrics, latest embroidery techniques and much more.

Through out the year we run specialty workshops in all areas of sewing. If you have a group of friends who are interested in learning about a particular area of sewing we can organise a workshop for you. We need a minimum of 4 people and then our teachers will put the workshop together for you. It can be in area of sewing, we just need a month to get it organised
We can provide personalised training to anyone wanting to learn any aspects of sewing.

Help making a quilt
Dress making technique
Charged at $50 per hour
Learn how to use a long arm quilting frame. We will teach you how to set up the frame with the fabric, how to set up the sewing machine, how to use the speed control and stitch regulator, and we will also show you how to create simple patterns. Once you have learnt how to use the quilting frame, you can then hire our quilting frame to quilt your own quilts
We have a large sewing room available for hire. The class room comfortably seats 6 people for classes or can cater for up to 15 people in a demonstration situation. The classroom has a kitchen with tea & coffee making facilities, a white board, cutting table and ironing boards, we can even supply a video projector if required.
Classes are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month; 10am to 12pm, or the first Saturday of the month; 1pm to 3pm. A new topic is covered every month, allowing you to get the most out of your scan 'n' cut. Topics include; working with vinyl, card making, glass etching, embossing and much more.
